Search volume growth of selected high street banks in the UK 2020-2023
Among the observed UK banks, UBS exhibited the most substantial brand growth based on Google search volume, according to a PI Datametrics report. Between June 2020 and 2023, UBS, which completed the acquisition of the collapsed Credit Suisse in June 2023, recorded a remarkable search volume growth of 59.7 percent, surpassing all other displayed banks by a significant margin. It was followed by Bank of America, with a volume growth of 38.5 percent. Challenger banks Monzo and Revolut also demonstrated high growth, with 25.3 and 23.9 percent, respectively.
