According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in July 2023, 46 percent of the respondents in Japan clicked on advertisements on social media platforms out of curiosity even if they had no intention to purchase the product or service. About a third of the respondents stated that they clicked on social media ads if the content was relevant to them.
