Data was collected from the GeoSentinel Network, a global surveillance and research network based on clinical care that monitors infectious diseases or health events affecting international travelers.
According to the source, information was available for 6,518 diagnoses from 2012 to 2018 and 2,068 diagnoses during 2018-2021.
Travel reasons reporting one percent or below included research, military, planned medical care, migrant worker, among others.
