South Korea's National Pension Service was the pension fund with the largest investment in oil, gas, and coal worldwide as of 2023, with nearly 26 billion U.S. dollars invested. It was followed by Colombia's National Pension Fund, with investments in fossil fuels amounting to about 19.8 billion U.S. dollars.
