For companies working on AI in the United Kingdom the lack of knowledge and networks in the international markets constitutes the largest barrier to expanding abroad. Following closely behind is the lack of finance or insurance for exporting and competition from other countries. There is a chance that all of these do coincide with a shortage of foreign labour options in the UK as post-Brexit options to expand abroad have been hampered by additional red tape. Tariffs imposed by other countries accounted for the least amount of perceived barriers, with barely five percent of companies it as an issue.
