During an April 2023 study among consumers in the United States, little more than one-third (or 34 percent) of respondents said they purchased online either the exact product or a product from the same brand after seeing it in a TV program or film product placement throughout the six months preceding the survey. According to another source, U.S. product placement spending surpassed 14 billion U.S. dollars in 2022.
