During an April 2023 survey among consumers in the United States, over half (or 52 percent) somewhat or strongly agreed that they would rather watch a TV program containing product placement than a TV program with traditional commercial breaks. Less than 15 percent disagreed. According to another source, U.S. product placement spending surpassed 14 billion U.S. dollars in 2022.
