In terms of downloads, hypercasual games were the leading mobile game genre in the Indian market with 2.4 billion downloads in 2023. The simulation and action genres followed with around a billion downloads. Mobile game downloads across the leading genres in India declined compared to the previous year, with shooting games dropping out of the ranking and the kids genre being a new entrant.
