According to a survey conducted in Spain in May 2021, approximately 74 percent of respondents considered the impossibility of performing a physical examination as the most significant disadvantage of using teleconsultation services. Moreover, around 37 percent of interviewees reported feeling more comfortable consulting in person, while 27 percent said technical problems were also a disadvantage of teleconsultation services. Based on that survey, the main reason referred to by patients that favored consulting with a doctor in person was the preference to talk with the physician face-to-face.
