In 2022, a total of 14,981 new businesses were established in the Central District of Israel. This district topped the list of the most newly established businesses in the country that year. The Tel Aviv district followed with 11,941 newly established companies. The Judea and Samaria District closed the list with only 1,898 new businesses. The total number of new businesses that year reached 57,742 in all the country's districts.

The report mentions that businesses classified in industries 83-84 (Local, public and defense administration and social security), 97-98 (Households as employers), and 99 (Extraterritorial organizations and bodies), were not included in the business birth or death population, in accordance with Eurostat and OECD definitions. Therefore, they were also deducted from the active businesses population.
