In 2022, around 37.3 percent of dehumidifiers sold in South Korea were produced by LG Electronics. In previous years, Winix boasted the largest market share, but was overtaken by the South Korean tech giant. Samsung Electronics had previously exited the market in 2017, but the company began to manufacture dehumidifiers once again in 2022 as South Korea experienced increased rainfall amid the changing climate.
