According to a survey conducted in India in March 2023, among the respondents that consumed news on YouTube, 25 percent always consumed news on Shorts making it the leading video format. Meanwhile, the share of respondents that sometimes consumed news on YouTube was equal across formats. In-depth videos were the lesser consumed format.
