In Spain, Netflix had the highest shared account penetration rate among the video streaming services used as of December 2022, with over 61 percent of Netflix customers stating in a survey that they used credentials from someone else. Disney+ and HBO followed in the ranking, with around 56 and 48 percent of shared account users, respectively. In general, credential sharing was more popular among users of international streaming platforms than among customers of local providers.
