Low prices were the leading aspect driving customer retention during online shopping in Japan. According to a survey conducted in February 2023, around 69 percent of respondents stated that low prices were the leading reason for developing positive feelings towards online shopping websites. A structure allowing shoppers to easily find desired products followed as the second commonly named aspect of why respondents would favor a website.
