In the financial year 2022, WOW Skin Science was the biggest spender on advertising among India's leading e-commerce soonicorns, having spent nearly 1.9 billion Indian rupees. Pepperfry came a close second and was the only other soonicorn to have an ad spend of over a billion rupees that year.
As the term suggests, soonicorns are start-ups that are soon to become unicorns. While unicorns have a value of over one billion U.S. dollars, a soonicorn is in the process of achieving a one-billion asset valuation.
