Primary mode of travel to school in Scotland 2022
In the year 2022, walking was the main mode of travel to school for pupils in Scotland, accounting for nearly 43 percent of trips to school. Being driven by car followed as the second most common means of traveling to school at a rate of roughly 23 percent. Cycling to school, on the other hand, was much less frequent as indicated by its low share of four percent.
