Payment method projections in Portugal 2023
In 2023, in Portugal, 86 percent of respondents predicted that the future will bring bigger investments in technologies that allow the digital payment of purchases. 81 percent of respondents also believe that, by 2026, the offer of incentives via payment methods in order to retain customers will be mandatory. The total replacement of physical cards by E-Wallets and virtual cards is the belief of 35 percent of respondents.
