According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in Indonesia in July 2023, the majority of both male and female respondents indicated that they clicked on advertisements on social media platforms since the content was relevant to them. Futhermore, 33 percent of female and 36 percent of male respondents indicated that they engaged with social media ads because the content was purpose-driven or conveyed a meaningful social message.
