In 2022, nearly 68 percent of smartwatches in South Korea had a Wear operating system (OS). Over the years, Tizen OS lost its market share to the Wear OS developed by Google. This shift was mainly due to Samsung Galaxy watches switching from the Linux-based Tizen OS to Wear OS.
