Preferred methods of payment for in-store purchases in Portugal 2023
In Portugal, in 2023, debit cards constituted the favorite method of payment for in-store purchases, selected by 42.4 percent of respondents. Cash came second, at a share of 23 percent. It outranked credit card payments, which came third, with five percent of respondents favoring this payment method.
