In a survey conducted on gaming trends across India in 2022, a majority of respondents, that is 47 percent, reported that they did not play or watch eSports. The shares of respondents that either watched or played eSports were nearly the same. Meanwhile, those who did both accounted for the smallest group. The eSports market in India is in its nascent stages but is set to grow to 140 million U.S. dollars by 2027.
