Penetration rate of contactless cards in Portugal 2016-2021
In Portugal, the penetration rate of contactless cards has increased over the observed period. In 2016, almost 39 percent of bank users had contactless cards. by 2021, this figure had risen to almost 75 percent of bank users, an increase of 21 percent from the previous year.
