According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea in 2023, around 60 percent of respondents aged 16 to 24 years stated that they considered customer reviews to be the most impactful type of advertisement on social media. This type of advertising, alongside ads by already trusted brands were perceived as the most impactful across all age groups. Influencer advertising received mixed reviews, with close to one in three young adults considering it impactful, while only around 10.6 percent of respondents aged 55 years and older held the same perception.
