According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea in 2023, around 41.3 percent of female and 37.9 percent of male respondents stated that they had bought items they saw in social media ads one to three times over the past year. While the reported purchasing behavior was similar, male respondents showed a higher tendency for frequent purchases.
