According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea in 2023, around 54 percent of respondents aged 16 to 24 years stated that they clicked on social media ads because the content was entertaining. This was the most commonly given reason for interacting with such ads across all age groups. Respondents aged 55 years and older were more likely to be looking for gift inspiration, but less likely to be interested in influencer or celebrity advertising.
