According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea in 2023, around 53.1 percent of male and 49.9 percent of female respondents stated that they clicked on social media ads because the content was entertaining. This was the most commonly given reason for interacting with such ads, followed by their relevancy to the individual user as well as simply sating one's curiosity without any intent to purchase.
