From the financial years 2018 to 2023, the World Heritage Site of Red Fort Complex in Delhi attracted the highest expenditure by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) among all other centrally protected World Heritage Sites in the country. Over 65 million Indian rupees were spent on conserving and developing amenities for this site. The Taj Mahal and monuments and convents of Goa followed with over 30 and 21 million rupees respectively.
