Several mobile operators in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) planned to switch off 2G networks in 2025, including Bite in Lithuania, M-Tel in Montenegro, O2 in Czechia, Telia in Estonia and Lithuania, T-Mobile in Czechia and Poland, and Vodafone in Albania, Czechia, Hungary, and Romania. Furthermore, some operators had already switched off 3G connections, such as A1 Slovenia, Magyar Telekom, and Slovak Telekom.
