Three Lower Basin states have agreed to proposed water cuts totaling three million acre-feet from the drought-strained Colorado River from 2023 through 2026. Under the proposal, California, which currently receives the largest share of the Colorado River, would cut approximately 1.6 million acre-feet of water, with Arizona and Nevada splitting the remaining amount.
