As of July 2022, a total of approximately 6.66 million hectares of palm oil plantations in Malaysia have been certifited by the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO), an increase from 5.9 million hectares in the previous year. The MSPO certification scheme is a national certificate for palm oil plantations to comply with sustainability standard.
