In the second quarter of 2024, there were 170.3 million medication boxes sold in Romania with a value of 1,647.2 euros. The majority was sold through retail channels, out of which boxes sold with prescription had a value of over a billion euros and over-the-counter sales had a value of approximately 366.7 million euros. Hospital sales accounted for 263.4 million euros.
