In 2022, needing new clothing or footwear was the main reason for buying new garments in Portugal, pointed out by more than 39 percent of respondents. Discounts or sales were selected as the main reason by 31 percent of those surveyed. New clothing trends or collections were mentioned by just two percent of respondents.
