According to the most recent data available, the value of new media reuse of non high-budget SVOD residuals collected by the WGA amounted to nearly 109 million U.S. dollars in 2021, making it the highest-earning TV residuals format. This marks an increase of around 29 percent from the previous year. Foreign free TV and basic cable accounted for the second largest TV residuals category in 2021 at 92.95 million U.S. dollars, down by 5.5 percent compared with 2020.
