According to a survey about medicine wastage conducted in June 2023, the majority of respondents stated that chemist sell a higher minimum quantity than what is needed, which has resulted in medicine wastage among Indian households. By contrast, 14 percent of respondents said that doctors prescribe more medicine than necessary.
