As of December 2022, nearly 27 percent of U.S. adults who suffered from long COVID symptoms reported financial insecurity, while about 29.1 percent experienced mental health hardship. Food insufficiency: people living in households with insufficient access to food in the previous week.
Housing insecurity: individuals with uncertainty to make future mortgage or rent payments.
Respondents included in the Multidimensional Hardship Index experienced at least two of the following: mental health, job insecurity, food insufficiency, or housing insecurity.
