Level of satisfaction among Americans with abortion policies 2001-2024
Before 2024, public dissatisfaction with abortion policies was driven more by a need to have stricter laws, but this shifted after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and the legality of abortion was left to individual states. In 2024, some 44 of respondents were dissatisfied with the abortion policy in the U.S. because they believed it was too strict.
