A 2022 survey of representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in France found that 55 percent of the respondents did not have cyber insurance because they believed their existing protection measures were sufficient. Meanwhile, 52 percent of respondents reported having low cyber risks. Additionally, 19 percent of companies indicated that the reason for not having cyber insurance was the high cost. Another nine percent of respondents highlighted that the subscription process to access these services was too complex for their businesses.
