In 10 of the 15 European countries surveyed in November 2022, a car's quality or services was the leading criterion when selecting a new vehicle. In contrast, in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Czechia, the price of the car was the main factor influencing consumer purchase.

The sample size was of 800 participants in each countries except for France, which had 3,000 participants. The quota method was used for sampling, so the sample is representative (gender, age, region of residence, socio-professional category/income).
