A survey on the consumer perspective of the halal industry conducted in Indonesia in March 2023 found that around 84 percent of respondents aged between 36 and 45 years preferred to use personal care or beauty products that are halal and suitable for their skin. In comparison, around seven percent of respondents from the same age group stated that product effectiveness was more significant than whether or not the product had a halal logo.
