Sony is looking to increase its research and development spending on video gaming in the fiscal year ending March 2024. The company is planning to spend a total of 300 billion yen (approximately 2.13 billion U.S. dollars) on the development of its gaming segment. Gaming accounts for 40 percent of Sony's total R&D expenditure.
