According to a survey conducted among consumers in the United Kingdom between the end of February and the beginning of March 2023, over half of respondents reported to use YouTube for background listening. Around 43 percent of respondents reported using YouTube audio features for entertainment, while approximately 30 percent reported to do so in order to relax. Only 20 percent of respondents reported using the popular social video platform to discover new music.
