In 2021/2022, Egypt had a total of 35 well-water desalination stations, producing a total of 7.9 million cubic meters of water. North Sinai governorate had the largest number of stations, at a value of 27. However, in terms of the amount of water produced, the governorate of South Sinai registered the largest, with a score of 6.7 million cubic meters of water despite it having only seven well-water desalination stations.
