Over 60 percent of Ukrainians displaced from Ukraine named lack of sufficient language knowledge as the main problem they encountered during the job search in host countries. About one quarter of the survey participants responded that irregular employment was the only available option, whereas nearly 10 percent of the surveyed Ukrainians could not find a job because they felt discriminated.
Barriers experienced by Ukrainians during job search in host countries in 2022
The original question was phrased as follows: "Have you experienced any of the following problems when looking for work in the country you are staying?"
Multiple answers were possible.
The findings of the analysis are based on weighted data, adjusted according to available statistics on estimates of the target population size in each country in the survey by gender and age group.
