Consumers who would buy a haunted house in the United States 2022-2023

In 2022, just over 40 percent of home buyers in the United States said they would never buy a house that was considered haunted. This figure grew to nearly 50 percent in 2023. Surprisingly, a haunted house is not necessarily a problem for a considerable share of consumers, and for some, it may be an option under certain circumstances. Even more remarkable was the roughly five percent of surveyed U.S. respondents who said they would prefer the property to be haunted.
