In 2022, households living in energy-efficient homes had much smaller heating and electricity bills than those living in buildings with lower efficiency ratings. While the energy bill in a building with a performance rating of B amounted on average to 1,755 U.S. dollars, the bills in buildings with an E rating were over twice higher.
