The net trading income to total operating income of the banking industry in Italy fluctuated significantly in the observed period. The highest ratio was reported in the first quarter of 2021, when trading income amounted to 7.47 percent of the total operating income of the Italian banking industry. After that, the ratio dropped almost every quarter. In the third quarter of 2022, the net trading income amounted to 2.42 percent of the total operating income.
