In Portugal, the revenue registered by MC Sonae, one of the biggest food retailers in the country, amounted to almost 7.7 billion euros in 2022. During 2023, the retailer registered 8.4 billion euros as revenue, which represented an 9.2 percent increase in relation to the previous year.
Jerónimo Martins group registered higher values, namely 25 billion euros in 2022. In 2023, the group achieved a revenue of 30.6 billion euros.
