According to a survey carried out in Canada, Mexico, and the United States in 2022, 63 percent of shoppers considered brands' sustainable business practices an important aspect in their online shopping experience. In turn, only 52 percent of respondents from North America considered sustainable products very or somewhat important. A similar gap in the perception of business practices versus products was observed in Europe. On the contrary, respondents from Middle Eastern countries were much more interested in the sustainability of products, when shopping online from a brand.
