During 2024 edition of Prime Day, retailers challenge Amazon by offering their own promotions. In the United States, online shoppers indicated plans to spend 300 U.S. dollars on Amazon during the sale event, and another 221 U.S. dollars on other online stores offering promotions. The total 521 U.S. dollars in spending is higher than spending figures in 2023, when shoppers' cart value amounted to approximately 250 U.S. dollars.
