A survey on the representation of the Deaf community in media and entertainment, conducted in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia in September 2022, found that the movie "CODA", released in 2021, was considered the best example of Deaf representation in the media. The movie "Sound of Metal" (2019) followed in second position, with 73 percent of Deaf respondents who had seen it agreed that it represented their community well.
